The newly-opened Mantl in Knightsbridge takes all the best elements of Turkish flavour and colour and presents them with flair, in slick stylish surroundings. We’re confident you could dine off the starters alone and go home happy, with highlights including grilled octopus; smoked sheep’s yoghurt bursting with the sweetness of glazed figs and grape molasses, with a hit of savoury from dried oak cured beef, and smoked aubergine with tarhana crisps. If you want your food to look as good as it tastes, then Instagram-fanatics will be in heaven with these stunningly-presented dishes. And you’ll never see (or taste!) a more beautiful set of lamb chops than a stack that arrives on shallot pomme puree with a dainty sprinkling of pistachio. We also enjoyed a flawless chicken shish, and after all that feasting there was no room for dessert, but with food this good, it won’t be long before we’re tempted back.
